"Investment Decision Making and TPM" teaches participants the basic concepts of using TPM to strengthen investment decision making. It also introduces the multi-objective decision analysis (MODA) framework and demonstrates how MODA can be used to optimize investment allocation. The online course takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
Data for TPM | Training
"Data for TPM" is a 90-minute online course that introduces agencies to the legislation and regulation related to TPM data management. The course outlines a number of topics regarding the topic—including gathering the data required for TPM, prepping data for different audiences, identifying methods to deliver data, and addressing data quality.
Introduction to Performance Measurement | Training
This two-hour online course introduces all the basic concepts of performance measurement in the context of TPM. The course outline features five lessons—titled "Performance Measures Overview," "FHWA and Performance Measures," "Criteria for Developing Effective Performance Measures," "Data, Tools, and Analysis," and "Using Performance Measurement Information."
Transportation Planning Process | Training
System PerformanceThis course provides a complete overview of the transportation planning process for transportation professionals. The overview covers all of the legislative requirements, the content and purpose of existing transportation plans, and the steps to implementing a performance-based approach to planning and programming.
Communicating and Reporting on TPM | Training
This one-hour online training course provides a time efficient way for agencies to understand the nuances of communicating and reporting on TPM. The course offers interactive features (e.g knowledge checks) to engage its audience. The goal of the course is for participants to understand how TPM increases transparency and accountability, how data analysis can be implemented for transportation performance, the differences between internal and external reporting of TPM, and the landscape of additional TPM resources currently available.
Implementing Performance-Based Planning and Programming | Training
